Ciao! Welcome to Vercelli’s Bakery!

Vercelli is my mother’s family name taken from the area in Northern Italy from which her history began. For me, the name Vercelli represents family and much more: it is a symbol of the internal journey I have been on to discover the many facets of myself and how to share the best version of myself with others. Through the cultural influences of my Argentinian, Brazilian, and Italian background and my many life experiences, I have found great joy in the richness of diversity and respect for others. It is that focus on diversity and respect that Vercelli’s is founded on. Baking has become a simple and beautiful way for me to share parts of myself and help to build community.

My love for baking began at Dominique Ansel Bakery in 2019 after working for a decade as a journalist and educator. I was immediately captivated by the delicate balance of simplicity and complexity that baking requires. After learning the art of Viennoiserie and pastry from Dominique Ansel, I brought my skills to Breadfolks Bakery in Hudson, NY. From there, I worked as the sous-chef baker at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, where I was able to focus on breadmaking from freshly milled, simple grains.

Now, I am excited to share my vision of baking through Vercelli’s!

The mission of Vercelli’s Bakery is to create delicious baked goods that combine high-quality baking with elements of my culture and family. By bringing the Argentinian, Brazilian, and Italian flavors of my childhood into my baking, Vercelli’s offers excellent products with a flavorful twist. Provocative notes with a spoonful of reminiscence to relish in. Coupled with our sensational flavors, Vercelli’s is devoted to sharing two simple ingredients necessary to a good life: love & thanks. After all, all we need is LOVE & a GOOD BAKE!
